COMPETITION DIVISIONS & AWARDS
Welcome to the ultimate dance Xperience! Teams will compete in dynamic divisions designed to
challenge and showcase your talent at every level. Get ready to rise to the occasion as TeamX brings you an unforgettable competition season!
Divisions & Categories
Teams will be divided into styles and categories based on the number of dancers and style of routines. Stay tuned for updates as we customize the experience for each event!
*Improv solo challenge will take place at the conclusion of the morning solo portion before the afternoon solo awards presentation.
Solo Categories
SOLO COMPETITION
Soloists will perform a dance routine up to 2 minutes long. The entrance and exit are limited to 15 seconds each. Any style or combination of styles is welcome and soloists can compete in up to two solos per TeamX event. (Excluding improv solo).
IMPROV SOLO
Soloists will improv to music they may have never heard before for approximately one minute and awarded based on their creativity, musical interpretations and more.
Awards & Recognition
SOLO AWARDS
Top Soloists for each grade level will be awarded during the afternoon awards.
Overall Top 10: The top 10 soloists will be invited to re-compete in the solo showdown competition at the end of the day. Solo Finalists will receive an additional award for their placement in the solo showdown at the final awards ceremony.
GROUP AWARDS
Top 5 Group Placements: The top 5 teams in each category will be awarded placement at the final awards ceremony.
SPECIAL TEAM AWARDS
X-Factor Award: Awarded to the highest-scoring routine of the weekend!
Team Xcellence: Recognizing the team that displays sportsmanship, kindness, and humility throughout the event.
Judges’ Choreography Award: One team will win the Choreography award to recognize outstanding choreography selected by the judging panel.
Technical Xcellence Award: Awarded to the team with outstanding technical performance.
Grand Champion Awards: Teams with the highest combined scores across 5 group routines. We will award 2nd runner up, 1st runner up and GRAND CHAMPION at each TeamX event.
EXCLUSIVE SCHOLARSHIPS
Top 5 Soloists in finals will receive a scholarship to the TeamX Summer Dance Intensive!
